Aleppo Soap
Aleppo soap is a traditional handmade soap made from laurel oil and olive oil. It contains no environmentally damaging ingredients such as palm oil, fragrances, or other chemicals that might irritate the skin.
Aleppo soap is made by small, family-owned businesses in Aleppo, Syria. These soap factories have been in operation for generations and provide jobs for local people who may be living in quite difficult situations. Aleppo soap can range from 100% olive oil to up to 70% laurel oil content. Laurel oil has antifungal and antibacterial properties, so a higher laurel oil content may benefit people who have skin conditions such as eczema or acne.
