Renewable energy opportunity

Over the next 10–20 years around 30% of our conventional, climate damaging electricity generation capacity is scheduled to close. Whilst energy efficiency measures can reduce our overall energy demand, a significant proportion of production capacity will need to be replaced. If we seize this opportunity, this windswept country – already the site of the world’s largest offshore wind farm in development, the London Array – could reap huge benefits from the fastest growing renewable technology, particularly in offshore wind.
